I’ve always loved putting music to images or situations, thus my love of Musical Theater and scoring for movies. But many ties the music used for these situations today is found after the fact. In other words a commercial, video or movie is made and then a music editor gathers available tracks that are in established Sound Libraries around the world and he synchronizes them with the images he wants music under. Calls also go out from certain providers like TAXI and Broadjam , two I use, and they paint a picture of the scene to be scored and I and several hundred of other writers, write a short piece that seems to cover what is wanted and then record it as professionally as we can given that it is purely on spec. Over time one accumulates a number of short pieces that reflect many moods. That is what you’ll find here. I’ve tried to give the pieces titles that reflect the mood that was asked for. “Wistful Wonder is one of my favorites. There is no doubting what “The Happy Song” and “Brighter Day” are about. These are a few of the many pieces I’ve written over the last few years to fulfill these requirements. I hope you enjoy them. I know I enjoyed writing and recording them.
